A Painting of Six Geese (A Laying)
“Six Geese (A Laying)” is the sixth painting in the series celebrating the 12 Days of Christmas by releasing a new painting each of the first 12 days of December! That’s right – halfway done! This painting is acrylic on canvas panel and 5″x7″.
Did You Know?
- The term goose applies specifically to a female while gander applies to a male.
- A young goose/gander is called a gosling.
- A group of geese on the ground is called a gaggle; when in flight they are a team, a skein or a wedge; and when they fly close together they are referred to as a plump.
- Canadian Geese (like those in the painting) are native to the arctic and temperate regions of North American, however they are also found in Northern Europe on occasion.
