November Project: Gratitude Doodles

November is right around the corner and I’d like to do something special for the month.  It’s been a tough year for so many people.  It feels like the world could use more togetherness and thankfulness for what we do have.  For the month of November my goal is to help send some extra positivity into the world by facilitating a gratitude doodle project.

What is the Gratitude Doodle Project?

When is the last time you’ve received a handwritten letter in the mail?  When I lived in Wyoming I used to send letters back and forth with my Grandma.  It was always special to open the mailbox and see something besides bills and junk mail inside.  I’m also one of the rare people who has always enjoyed writing thank you cards and would write one after receiving gifts – somehow it made me appreciate them even more.

I want to extend that experience out into the community/world with this Gratitude Doodle Project.  The project would involve sending a special letter to the person (or organization) of your choice with a handwritten letter expressing your gratitude and a small one of a kind ink sketch just for them.

Included:
-Small one of a kind sketch
-Handwritten personalized thank you note
-Standard envelope
-Postage via USPS (USA delivery only)

Basically you provide the message, and I will create a sketch, hand-write the message, and mail it out to the special person(s).

For anyone who may not be familiar with my drawings, below are a couple examples of my style of ink sketches from this year’s inktober challenge

Who Do I Send to?

Anyone that you would like to send a special thank you note to.  Here are some ideas to help brainstorm: a partner, friend, mentor, family member, caretaker, teacher, organization.

The Goal

My goal is to create at least one doodle each day for the whole month of November.  I’d love to be able to share the message/doodle (anonymously) via social media each day to share the positivity – but that is absolutely not a requirement if you prefer to keep the message private.

Interested in participating?

Please fill out the form below (you’re welcome to do as many as you like, just fill out a separate form for each).  Each Gratitude Doodle is $5 to help cover materials, postage, and some of my time on the project.  Once you fill out the form, I will send you an email to confirm and send an invoice for payment via PayPal.

Thank you to anyone who decides to participate or support the project!

Please reach out if you have any questions or I need to clarify anything.
