Inktober 2023 Part 1
Inktober month is here again. This year I really debated whether to participate or not. I haven’t been very excited about the official prompts the past few years but I finally decided that it would be a good opportunity to practice a different subject and medium than I usually do. The best way to learn is to continually practice something. So this year I’m practicing sunsets and night skies in watercolor pencils and inktense blocks. I’ve been playing with a combination of different materials for each (I’ll list them under each of the pictures). I haven’t specifically been following the official prompts, but some of them loosely fit.
Here’s a recap of the first week of the challenge. You can follow along daily on my progress on social media (@LauraJaenArt).
