100 Day Project 2022: Part 7
We’ve reached the midway point of the 100 Day Project! This is what I’ve been up to for days 46 through 53. If you’re not familiar with the 100 Day Project or want to take a look at the previous days, check out my recent blog posts.
For this timeframe I allowed myself to play around with some ideas I’ve been wanting to try. I’m currently between projects and deadlines so I have a small window of time before I need to focus on specific things. This week I started another crocus drawing and some bookmarks using recycled scrap papers that will have a similar design.
Last update I shared a peek of a commission in progress that I had just finished. The drawing has arrived to its new home and is already framed and on the wall! I’m grateful for my clients asking me to draw their beautiful dog. Here’s a look at the finished piece.
If you’re interested in a custom piece, I have a couple openings available for April/May before things pick up this summer prepping for my next big show. Send me a message and let me know what you have in mind!
At the end of the week I started a new Sketchy Tree drawing. I’m hoping to get a couple more done before a show I have coming up this summer. All the Sketchy Tree drawings so far have been from two spots – Ithaca Falls and Wells Falls (both in Ithaca, NY) – where the water recedes during warmer parts of the year and you can see the tree roots exposed underneath from the trees along the creek.
I’m looking for other spots in the Finger Lakes area where this happens, if you know of any places please send me a message! I’ve almost exhausted my reference photos.
You can follow along real time over on social media!
We’re now over halfway through the project ! Are you participating in the 100 Day Project this year too? I’d love to know what your project is and follow along!
